Magenta Stamps....

Christine Costello has been a busy lady.  Her next design team pieces have been made with a Magenta stamp "Butterfly Girl".  Isnt she lovely?  The stamp is now in the shop to buy.

Christine has made both an easel card and a canvas:-

The Butterfly Girl was stamped with Timber Brown Stazon.  I used bleach to fade the colour from the flowers and the bird.  Distress ink, Wild Honey was used to colour the white parts of the butterfly.  Wild Honey was sponged onto the background card, the butterfly image was then randomly stamped over this.

Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch was used to make a border.  The sentiment was stamped onto the base of the card in Timber Brown and a butterfly image used to hold the front of the card in place.

My canvas was gessoed, butterfly images and text were stuck down then daubed with blue and green acrylic paint. Rock salt crystals were then adhered to the corner of the canvas using UTEE embossing powder (as shown in the February issue of the Craft Stamper).

The image was stamped onto normal plain tissue paper using black Stazon ink pad then stuck to the canvas with Mod Podge.  The Butterfly and flower parts of the stamp were then embossed.  I then painted over the image with acrylic paint to strengthen it.  Bits of gold paint and gesso were then rubbed over the canvas.  I followed this with a thin layer of Stewart Gill Alchemy white mist paint over the canvas.
Thank you for looking - Christine C x

Both pieces are in the shop with me if you would like to take a closer look.  I think you will agree they are two completely different looks with the same stamp.  Hope everyone is enjoying the lighter nights and milder weather.  CAROL :)
