MCMillan Coffee Weekend

Back now after a much needed holiday but it seems like a million miles away.  It's been a busy time and there's still more to come.  We've just had our McMillan fundraising weekend and it was good to see so many of you supporting us.  If you didn't come - well you missed out.

Lynda, June, Nigel and Barbara made cakes - Lynda is now famous for her "salmon paste cake".

Suzanne helped with "make and take" - I couldn't have managed without her.

I hope you all enjoyed yourselves whilst raising funds for a very worthy cause.

Over the weekend these were our "make and take" examples:-

Card 1 made using the Woodware stamp "Ranunculas Field" and the Crafty Edger Border Punch
Card 2 was created using the Stampendous "Santa" stamp and the lovely "Frantage" embossing powders, tinsels, glitters and fragments.  Although this card is not really my style it gave you the opportunity to try out the products.
Card 3 used the Woodware "jumbo Noel" stamp.  Paper piecing seems to be very popular this year.
There is a PLAY DAY on this coming Saturday 6th October and this will also include another "Make and Take" session.  Hope to see you there.

Other events recently have caused me a great deal of stress, but it has confirmed a few things for me - I need to plan well in advance and, although sometimes I might appear to be a bit chaotic, I am in control and I am organised.

This Friday - 5th October is the preview night for the exhibition of Kevin Williamson and Paul Randell.  It would be good if you are able to come and support them between 7pm and 9pm.  As such current expo work on the walls needs to be collected please.

Looking forward to seeing you. CAROL:)
