Butterflies Galore

Hello, Suzanne here.  Thrilled when Carol asked me to work with the new range of "Gabrielle" Bo Bunny Papers as they are right up my street.  I love anything with butterflies so it was not a chore and they are double sided so very easy to work with.

Carol really wanted me to do a scrapbook layout (I have not done one of these for ages) so being the obliging type here it is:-
The 12x12 layout has been mounted onto a canvas board and can be seen in the shop as I really struggled to get a decent photo.  I used the whole of one of the papers and then cut into another to get the butterflies.  Sometimes when a paper is heavily pattered - a tip is to use "elements" of the paper.  I have "shabbied" the paper by stitching and then tearing the edges a little.

I have painted chipboard letters and Magenta flourishes with Stream acrylic dabber and overstamped in Gold acrylic dabber.  Glossy accents was added to the butterflies and tiny pearls added.

With the remainder of the paper I have made two cards.  It is always surprising how much craft you can get from 4 pieces of 12x12.  I still had some bits left too.  I have continued with the shabby chic style - because it is a favourite of mine and goes wonderfully with the colours of the "Gabrielle" papers.

I used a piece of the wonderful ribbed kraft coloured card Carol sells and made the centre frame from a Bo Bunny template.  The text is from my old butterfly guide book.
My third piece and second card is again made using the 12x12 papers - as most will know I am a stamper but it was quite liberating just using the papers and I think quite effective too.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the "Gabrielle" papers and what I have done with them.  There is a good selection in the shop.  SUZANNE ~x~
