PaperArtsy 12 x 12 Papers

As I mentioned I provided my creative volunteers each with a single piece of the new Paperartsy 12x12 papers.  These are just wonderful but some people are daunted by 12x12 papers and do not like to cut them up - however I think my crafty volunteers have come up trumps and have shown exactly how much can be done with a single piece of 12x12.  The Cubby Hole has the Paperartsy papers in stock along with a wide selection of other brands of 12x12's as the ideas provided here can be translated into other papers.

In no particular order I am going to show Sue Blythe card today and Suzanne Brookfield's concertina of tags.  Nip back throughout the month of February to see the other pieces created - but of course the creations are displayed in the shop for inspiration too.

Sue's Card
Is just beautiful and is made completely from one piece of 12 x 12 excluding the square base card, the lace and the greeting - which are items we all have in our stash.

Sue used the 12x12 as the background for her card, the tag was made using remainder and the leftovers were cleverly decoupages.  Care and attention was just given to where Anne cut.  Lace, brad and greeting stamped - making this beautiful card.

Look at dimension created just by decoupaging the extra flowers from the paper.

Suzanne's Tag Concertina
Suzanne used a basic tag as a template, making a row of tags, which she then scored to make a concertina.
Suzanne then cut out elements of the highly decorated 12x12 page (using both sides).  Stamps used to highlight were standard text and word stamps.

Suzanne is a fan of triple embossing and made the tiles from cardboard, the 12x12 paper and UTEE.  Ribbons and charm from the Cubby Hole were added.

These are just basic instructions here but pop along to see me and I can show you the pieces and explain further.  All products are available.  I hope we have inspired you - maybe on the next play day on 12th February (check out the Website for other dates too) we could all play with a piece of 12x12 to see what we can come up with.  Everyone is welcome to our play days - any form of crafting whether it be with paper, journals, scrapbooks, jewellery, canvas - whether you be experienced or novice it is very informal and we all bounce ideas off each other and enjoy a chat and drink.

Come back to the blog to see Christine Costello's card and tag and Nigel Roberts' scrapbook page.

Hope to see you Soon.  Carol :)
